What is SHE-HaitiSustainable Health Education-Haiti (SHE-Haiti) was built on the momentum so far gained towards improving patient outcomes in Haiti, by educating Haitian care givers. Beginning with CPR classes for providers and lay people in Haiti, SHE-Haiti now provides a range of clinical education topics to healthcare providers based on an assessment of needs in their particular clinical areas. The most important part of this is our Haitians training Haitians program to create sustainable health education in this country.
Funds allocated from SHE-Haiti are used to support Haitians training Haitians in American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare and other staff. What does this mean? With your help we can continue to empower health care providers in Haiti to learn the required teaching skills to instruct others and promote sustainable health education in Haiti. This creates jobs for new instructors, some of the first official Haitian AHA instructors in the country and allows us to support them with the equipment and instructor resources they need. Haiti needs this more than ever, as unstable economic and political situations create turmoil and Covid-19 begins to soar. We thank you in advance for your support of our collaborative efforts to support these efforts.
